As you may know I started this group to get more people thinking about their pets' cages as a composition art and to turn them into room centerpieces. Me thinking about this concept of pet cages as art began with my multitude of Betta aquariums and then the fascination I've had in reptiles/amphibians grew so I spent all my free time researching my next potential pet. Then I bought care books for my two main reptile interests and I also got a book on creating living displays out of snake cages. I've taken the information from these three books plus what I've found scattered online plus my own thoughts and put them into a 17 page 2 part informational packet on landscaping, decor by theme, safe live plants to use by climate/theme, choosing substrate for its values, and choosing a decorative cage. I wrote this and just uploaded it to the group because a group like this is not all about showing off your work, it's also about learning to create aesthetic cages and to improve your skills. Future instructional/informative write ups I plan to supply include a discussion on pets which have behaviors and intrinsic values for displays. I also thought I'd start a list of unique/unusual pet names for people who can't think of a name for a new pet. I'll take suggested names for the list at any time. I hope the addition of resources will help draw in new members. I want to encourage all members to click on "submit to a group" on a cage design deviation they find exceptional and request to the artist that it be submitted to the appropriate folder gallery of the group. Also invite your friends or watchers to the group through one of your journal entries or a personal message (do not use the "invite" button/function on the group page as there is an invite limit).
I'd love to be able to submit a photo of a quality poultry coop, but I don't have permission to submit to this group. The photo is this one here: ebonsong.deviantart.com/art/Po…
If you can add it for me I would very much appreciate it!
Sorry I only just got your message on my group. With moving in September and now wedding planning I've been more occupied than usual. I requested that coop of yours to be added to the group. Just go to your messages to notifications and accept to add it to the group. Thank you for bringing such a lovely coop to my attention.
